It Records is very excited to release ‘All Your Sorries’ the very first single from the spectacular forthcoming album from beloved Australian synthesizer songstress Seja : Here Is One I Know You Know (due for release in 2023).

The song is about wanting to connect on a deeper level in every interaction and how that’s not always welcome, and being hard on oneself in inconsequential situations while asking the question, how many synthesisers is too many synthesisers to have on one song?

“I had just bought a Roland RS-09 string synth and wanted to put its warm fuzzy string chorus on everything for the rest of my life”

Seja says the track started with a Suzuki Omnichord and turned into a dense synth and drum machine dreamscape, recorded in her backyard studio in Brisbane with big dreams to channel Giorgio Moroder and Phil Oakley.

“I was listening to a lot of Harmonia and Brian Eno, as well as Yellow Magic Orchestra and was really loving the relationship between their layered electronic and acoustic instruments. I tried to sing and write from the heart without masking the meaning behind metaphors. And this fell out.”

‘All Your Sorries’ was written produced and performed by Seja, who played and programmed the aforementioned plethora of synths and drum machines, but also features guests from 3 iconic Brisbane indie bands: Jen Boyce (Ball Park Music) on bass, George Browning (Velociraptor) on percussion and Chris Farrer (The Quickening) provided the hot guitar solo.
